Most of my friends have a Desktop and Laptop and my dad has a laptop, my mom has a laptop which i use alot and we have another desktop in the house which is really just krappy right now, oh and i have a desktop running Vista Home Prem...i think it needs reformatting but my dad won't do it and it has stuff that we need on it but i want to buy a laptop for myself, but my budget is 250$ and all the laptops on Craigslist for 250$ are either old or slow, so what should i do?

Plus i'm second year in college and my parents told me to wait till college which is in 2 yrs to add more details so should i wait 2 years or get my own now and let them buy me one in 2 yrs?

I like desktops better since you can get more power for less money. If need the portability of a laptop, you can find a new one on sale for about 400 dollars. Keep looking, as you should be able to find a good used one for 250 dollars--dont settle for junk.

No you shouldn't buy a laptop, you clearly wouldn't be able to use it, you can't even reformat a PC. On a more serious note why do you even need a laptop when between you and your parents you have three computers? Stop whining.

upategrade your desktop.pay $50-$75 to install all the junk to make it better at circut city
