That depends on your operating system:

Windows XP: Right-click on your desktop (somewhere where there aren't any icons). Then click "Properties." A window should open titled, "Display Properties." Click on the "Settings" tab. You will now see a slider under the heading, "Screen Resolution." Drag the slider to the right to increase your resolution. Then click apply. The screen will adjust, and you should see a box come up asking if you want to keep the current resolution. If so, click "yes." If the screen goes blank, and then comes back after 15 seconds, you selected a resolution that your monitor doesn't support. Try another resolution. When you have the one you like, click "OK."

Windows Vista: The process is similar to XP. Right-click on your desktop (somewhere where there aren't any icons). Then click "Personalize." Then click "Display Settings." Under "Resolution," drag the slider to the right to increase your resolution. Click "Apply." Then click "OK."

Assuming you're on Windows, go to Start -> Control Panel and open the Display control panel (or you can right click on your desktop and choose Properties). Click the Settings tab. Then move the Screen Resolution slider and click Apply.

Right click on the desktop. Bring up properties and choose display. Don't go from one extreme to the other. Gradually change it. good luck.
