Long term a water softener helps with this. Short term use CLR (Calcium, Lime & Rust Remover Spray Cleaner).

I have a well also, the WORKS does remove it for me! Guess it,s worth a try, We also pour 1-2 gallons of bleach into the well every fall & spring! Of course we don,t drink water from the tap.I don,t know if the bleach helps or what. I do know that Oxodyl soap works wonders with well water when it comes to laundry. Oh, we do use the water for cooking!! Hey boiling kills everything-water will not harm ya! I probably said more than u cared to hear- just trying to help ya out ! When ya get done there I"d sure appreciate a helping hand over here-would"t that be a blast! Kina like exercisiing -the more ,the merrier. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Lime a Way or CLR. You may want to get a separate filter for the main water line to your house and/or get a water softener.
