I have a husky 17 gallon compressor and I wanted to connect one of those portable air tanks to it so it will hold more air. Can I do it and how?

thanks I guess I just need the 3 way connecter so its pretty easy... Im actually just gonna use it to airbrush so ill just let it fill up and then use it. So it should let me be able to use it longer like that right?

You bet! I do it when I need a lot of air in a short time, like when I blow out the yard sprinklers in the fall. Just get a 3-way air connector (quick connect) and daisy-chain it to the compressor or other air tanks with short sections of air hose.

All this gives you however is more storage capacity, and your compressor will have to run longer to bring the additional tanks in the system up to the desired pressure.

you can but it will just take longer to fill obviously.your tools,if that's what you use will only last a little longer before you start running out of air again and have to wait for it to build up.you might just need a bigger compressor

What your doing is increasing your air storage but, what your gaining is nil in compared to the length of time it has to run to fill. Your giving up one. You'd have to put two or three on to gain any advantage, your creating a paradox. It isn't worth it.
Buy a bigger unit.

Wouldn't the pressure in both tanks only raise to whatever the regulator is set to? The volume of air doesn't change the pressure.

Make sure that you make provision to drain
the condensate out of the added tank if you're
leaving it in place for any length of time.

you would have to daisy chain them together and have the right valves and connections first.
Best think on it though cuse you really dont want a over full Loose One bounceing around if the valve on the small one cant hold the pressure....
