Ok so i heard that all regular tvs in the US only i think are going to die because something new is being introduced. Why are they doing this?!?! This will happen in Feb. 2008.

They aren't, the ads are lying... it is a way for cable companies to get you to join.
"If you have an analog television, you will have to purchase a digital-to-analog set-top converter box to attach to your TV set to be able to view over-the-air digital programming ..."

calm down, the old analog TV goes away FEb 2009 (not 2008). After that, they will olny broadcast digital TV, so use might need to but a converter box.
