I believe that every woman has the right to enhance her appearance, however I'm against plastic/cosmetic surgery...I think its only accepatble in the event of injury, like a car accident of something. But everything else including weave is not permanent so whats the problem?
Of course too much make-up is no good, and fake tan can seriously damage the skin...

The truth is that a weave/extentions is not different from having a fake tan, changing your hair colour, putting on a lot of make-up, false lashes or nails. So it shouldn't be considered any different.

Anyway, everyone is wearing weave/extentions at the moment: Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Victoria Beckham, Britney Spears ...Its fashionable!!!

Who says it's not okay to wear a weave?

I see about a million women on the street each day with weaves, and i'm certain I miss a lot more.

The same people who don't like weaves, probably don't like that other stuff either. I don't know that for a fact, but I'd bet on it.

I think that the reason that women get things done like that is pressure. Pressure from media and just from friends and family. But if the fake tan, false nails and breast implants makes you fell self confident that is your choice and the same go's for a weave. Do what you feel is right not what others think is right.

You're right and as far as a wearing a weave not being acceptable. . . it's acceptable if it's kept a secret. I found all kinds of women wear a weave, hairpiece, wig at least once in their life. They don't want to admit it!

Weave, extentions, wigs its all fake hair so whats the problem.

I think probably 90% of female celebs wear fake hair
ex. Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowels, Victoria Beckham (not so much anymore)

It is just something someone started a long time ago and everyone caught on about dissin weave. If everyone knew that Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and others wore it then it would be acceptable to them. Keep rockin the weave girl.

Um I don't know why anyone would think a butt implant is better than a weave cause its not! All natural is always better though. Well maybe not better, just easier. But I still say if it makes you happy go for it.

Nothing you mentioned looks good if it looks incredibly fake. The weaves you notice are the ones that look fake and therefore...BAD

there will always be someone who judges others by their own ideals... some find all of the above unacceptable. Just do your own thing, go with the flow, and if you wanna wear a weave, you go right ahead.
