i think it is when they are about 9 months to a year old, because they are past the stage where all they do is lay around, but they haven't hit their terrible twos yet

I love around 18 months, it's so neat to see how they interact and they do the cutest things. The terrible two's suck but they have there good times too!

Personally, I think between 12 and 18 months.
I read a while back that you spend the first 2 years of a child's life teaching them to walk & talk, and the next 16 years telling them to sit down & shut up. LOL

I say once they're about a 1-2yrs and they start talking and laughing and walking and their personality has developed...just the cutest

before they talk back. not looking forward to that. I was on the phone w/ my SIL last night and she told her 3 year old "No, Zoey!" and Zoey said "oh, don't you no ME!"
Yeah, I'll take my 3 month old over that for right now...

About 4 months, they start to play with toys and they start to smile!!!!!
