You mean ambidextrous? Jim Abbott could throw and catch with only one hand. I think that's far more impressive.

There were a few in the early days of baseball, when pitching was simpler. Tony Mullane was the first, best-known and most successful of them, winning 284 games for a number of teams between 1881 and 1894.

More recently, longtime relief pitcher Greg Harris - primarily a right-hander - pitched left-handed to two batters in a game in 1995, making him the only ambidextrous pitcher in the majors in the last 100 years.

Tony Mullane was MLB's first ever ambidextrious pitcher.

Billy McCool did it as well, although I'm not sure how often.

Greg Harris, in 1995, threw one inning of shutout ball, facing a total of four hitters - two as a righty, and two as a lefty (one of whom he walked). He's probably the most recent to do so in the Major Leagues.

Pat Venditte is a more recent player, but he isn't in the Majors just yet. He's still in college.

OMAHA (AP) — Pat Venditte, the Creighton pitcher who has earned national acclaim for throwing both right-handed and left-handed, was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 45th round Friday.
Venditte had been projected to go anywhere from the 10th to 20th rounds, but he said he told scouts that he planned to return to Creighton for his senior season.

There have been several.

Greg Harris being the last in the Majors. He had a glove that could be worn on either hand.

Paul - there is no such rule.

Yes, but I think the rules state that when you pitch to a batter, you must only use one hand, right or left per batter. In other words, if you pitch to the first batter, you must continue with the same hand until his at bat is complete.

if this counts billy wagner used to be right handed but after breaking his arm so many times in high school and college he then learned how to throw lefty and still throws in the mid 90's with his left.. o and he used to throw in triple digits with his right thats why he broke it so much

I don't think so, but it would be a surprise if there were.
