I like writing as well, and I'm told that I'm very good at it. I've also tried writing stories, but I couldn't finish them, either. It's like I don't want to let go of the story; if I finish it, then I can't think about what will happen next to the characters. I'd rather think about stories to myself, so I can change the plot whenever I like. If I write it down, the whatever happens is perminent. That might not make much sence, but it's how I feel. Hope it helps!

If you haven't finished any stories yet, it probably means you're not interested enough to finish them. I also suggest having patience, writing a story takes a great deal of time and dedication. Every time you feel inspired, sit down a while and write, once it passes, stop. In this way, you will be able to add bit by bit to a story, and someday you will finish it, just don't rush it, ok?

Try to envision the whole thing before you start. Know beforehand how it's going to end. Maybe even make an outline. (I don't mean with Roman numerals and capital letters and "no 1 without a 2"; I just mean some notes on how the plot is going to develop.)

Keep writing and let them end on their own. A writer seems to let the story take it where it "wants" to go. Just go with it-you might write a best seller.

Maybe you just haven't discovered the endings yet. Don't rush it. Sometimes people take years to write a story. If you're not on a deadline, just relax. It will come to you in time.

I agree, the best thing to do would be to get a general outline of where you want the story, and characters to go, then just fill it in from there.

I lay out a plot first, and I add characters and personalities next. Then I wing it from there and let things unfold on their own, but I still get stumped too. Good luck

could be one of two problems. you could either start from the end, and work your way backwards, or you could write faster. sounds simple, but you could just be taking too long to write ur stories

That means that really deep down, you don't like the story
