My period has lasted almost a month and is unusually heavy.?

I may have polycystic ovaries, and am awaiting tests. I have always been very regular, very normal. Now my period stops for two months and once it does come, it lasts a month with very odd clotting, cramping and heavy bleeding. It's really scaring me - any advice? Does anyone else have any experience or knowledge about this?

Stress, illness, medication & weight loss can affect your hormones, thus changing your cycle. I would contact your doc. & talk to her/him about your health issues.

I had the same exact issues.
They ended up putting me on the pill.
