Mashed potatoes every time. Did you ever come across a mashed potato bar? It's like a salad bar but you are adding toppings like chives and cheese and bacon and gravy to mashed potatoes instead of salad. I encountered this in Louisville, KY and it's a fond memory. YUM!

Seriously, I make my mashed potatoes out of baking potatoes. So much more flavorful. I bake them, mash them, add sour cream & milk to whip them and........ EAT!
