Any bible believing Christian would "split" from a church that advocated gays in the leadership. I am happy to see that there are many in this organisation who believe what it says and are willing to follow it whatever the cost.

Are you talking about in the 1970's when the church redid things and rewrote the Book of Common Prayer?

Are you talking about more modern issues such as the debates over the gay bishops? If so, then what you are really talking about is a split in the Anglican Communion, of which the Episcopal Church is a part.
