Okay, so which are you watching? One, both, or neither? I guess for my American friends, the answer is none because they don't broadcast them, but what about those of you in Canada?

I'm enjoying both, even if they're completely different. I love the on-ice cameramen for Spengler shootouts, and it's been fun to watch the Canadian powerplay try to adjust to the big ice surface in the juniors.

Your thoughts?

I have been trying to catch both (first ones coincided a bit so back and forth).
I prefer the World Juniors, seeing the best up and comers against the best.
I like the youthful enthusiasm over the old Canadian has-beens. Not that I don't enjoy the Spengler, the WJ's are just something that I really look forward to every year. Also, my first chance to see alot of top prospects that I have not yet seen in action, like Steve Stamkos.

Both. The last two days have been a hockey ORGY: Get up, (screw Boxing Day sales) watch the World Juniors, Spengler after that, NHL games next. This sequence for TWO DAYS. Tomorrow won't be any different...except for MORE hockey with Slovakia playing against the Czechs before the Canada/Sweden game....followed by Spengler, and then Hockey Night in Canada. *drools* Sooooo much hockey......

If Canada is playing then I'm watching the Juniors, no questions asked. If they're not I'm usually watching the Spengler unless there is an interesting match up in the Juniors.

Go Canada!

I watch both.

The Spengler is far more competitive a tournament and the calibre of play is higher (and the financial rewards are greater).

I spent most of my life scounting junior players, and for me, going without seeing them over Christmas was a treat.

Of course, I want Canada to win the Spengler, and either Canada or America to win the WJC, but they both provide an excellent alternative viewing opportunity to the NHL game.
