well i know that you see kids on the news who have gotten offended or have come into counter with "fake" teens....
well, i just wanted to ask and see ur opinion on what the government might do....
(but i really hope they dont)

i know that alot of ppl use it to get into contact with friends and family but to really be on the serious side....
ALMOST EVERYTING that you save to the internet can get hacked into...

no i don't think it is going to get shut down. If a kid decides to meet with a person they met on myspace or online period the kid and the kid's parents are at fault. Parents need to talk to their kids about online predators and stuff. It is the parents job to fix this problem not the government. why would the government shut myspace down because some kid messed up?...it wouldn't be fair to others.

Sorry, Honey, I really hope they do. . Myspace is a dangerous place. Way too much info put out there just so someone can get some attention, and preditors love this. So far in CT. we've had guys come from Mass. , Indianna, Alabama, and a couple of other states to have sex with young girls. Most of them were over 30. It needs to be shut down. Kids need to realize that it isn't "Their Space" anymore.

No, the government can't shut down myspace. No judge would side with the government in that decision. It would be unconstitutional and the government would be overstepping it's authority. There was even a website dedicated strictly to pedophiles with pictures of children in bathing suits and it took a lot of crafty legal finagling to shut down that site.

I hope they do mayspace has no real point! It is a danger to a lot of teens! I am 13 and i don't have a myspace cuz my mom wont let me get one but i think it is kind of dumb!! I mean it sounds interesting but.....didn't you hear about the 13 year old who killed herself cuz of cyber bullying? I hope they shut down myspace before inicint kids get hurt!!!!

Well if this keeps happining on myspace ofcourse it will get shutdown alot of teens adults and some kids get tricked on myspace They get killed by somepeople who act like a teen or something.

no and who really cares if they do i think people spend too much time on the internet as it is! the only reason i even have a myspace is to keep in touch with my cousins and my friends because when my bf comes home from korea we are moving to texas

I'm sorry, but I really hope they DO...that site is so dumb, I had it for a grand total of 3 days, they I canceled the account. There are so many users on that stupid site that it takes forever to get anything done cause they're trying to do things for all of the other millions of users.

its possible but i don't think it will happen...they haven't closed chat rooms and fake people are in those...
teens need to care more and be careful to who they talk to and what information to post on there...
I do have a myspace and its a way to keep in touch with people so I don't want it closed....but if thats what they want to do then thats ok...but fake people will find other ways to do what they do...
its sad what people have become and how we have to watch out so much...

i really don't think they would shut it down..
i think the government thinks that there are much more important things happening so they wouldn't worry about it
plus, parents shouldn't let the kids on the computer if they are having that sort of situation

they could or they could just make some changes with your pictures and stuff and information..... you never know what the government will do about these type of things! But prob not i mean it makes A LOT of money!
