When you answer...I just request two simple things.

1. Answer: Yes, No, or I don't know
2. What affiliation are you i.e. Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal etc

And if you are wondering why #2....well...You know why...
It is all about your affiliations' mindset.

Yes, and the photo ID would be prolvided for by the government; and only if every person with a photo ID would fill out a paper ballot that leaves a paper trail.
No electronic balloting or counting.
Democrat
Thanks

Yes
NPA (no party affiliation, registered voter)

I know I'm breaking the rules but heck requing ID just makes sense. John Smith comes to vote to find out some other guy came in an hour before and cast ballots in his name? Please it's silly and scandalous not to.

Yes. I have had to show picture ID to vote in the past here in New Mexico and thought nothing of handing it over. It prevents election fraud perpetrated by candidates who have figured out how to cast votes under dead people's names, and it prevents someone from hijacking a registered voter's identity and voting under their name before they arrive at the polls.

I'm a registered Republican, by the way.

Yes and I'm republican. We used to have to show a drivers license in the 70's and 80's. I guess they thought it was an invasion of privacy.

Why the heck not. It is a very important event and all legal citizens have access to a free photo ID. It would prevent people cheating.

Yes, but people should be allowed sufficient time to get the acceptable i.d.s and they should be low cost or free.

I am a Democrat who knows that such requirements are more commonly used to exclude voters than they are to prevent voter "fraud".

Republican, yes and then, they should be confiscated until the next morning.

We could give the libs a handwritten copy to drive home with. :o)

I doubt they'll want to stay and celebrate with us.
