Nope... I've been laughed at for being a Royals fan, but no relationship problems. The Royals don't tend to rub anybody the wrong way.

CBS took over the Yankees after their first 20 championships and in the late 60's and early 70's under CBS they were bad for the first time since they first became a team. And some years they weren't just bad they were god awful. Thankfully the reign didn't last long as CBS soon sold the team to one George M. Steinbrenner. As they say, the rest is history.

Family or otherwise?

I'll tell you about both, ha ha.

This summer I dated a guy who was a HUGE Yankees fan. He was a great guy in a lot of ways, but then he'd say things like "Your Red Sox suck!" and "My Yankees are going to decimate the Red Sox!" We watched a couple of games together, but he was so obnoxious, we stuck to watching them seperately. It really got on my nerves because he was SO immature. We broke up, but it wasn't because we rooted for different teams.

My mom and grandpa are both die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fans. They never had a problem with me being a Red Sox fan until the 2004 World Series. After that, they HATED the Red Sox. So now I watch Red Sox games on TV in my room and I can't ever talk to either of them about trades, etc. with the Red Sox. Its rather silly, actually. But what can I do about it? I mean...the Cardinals beat the Red Sox back in the day, but I don't have a grudge against THEM about that.

I'm a diehard Red Sox fan and my husband is a Yankee fan.
We've gotten into some heated arguments! lol
We can never watch the games together, it's a very bad idea!

not exactly relationship probs... but my fam is a huge huge mets fan, and my boyfriend was a huge huge yankees fan.

i did not know anything about baseball. like at all. so i decided to pick a team that was completely nuetral... i picked the boston red sox. because the name is so cute, and their logo is little red socks... i couldnt resist.

little did i know theres a huge war btwn yankee fans and red sox fans... oops!

well, my boyfriend was away and when he came back we both sort of didn't want to be going out anymore... so when i told him i was a huge red sox fan he was like "what!! we totally can't date anymore!" (as a joke.. but i knew deep down he didn't want to be with me, and i knew i didn't want to be with him either...) so i'm like "maybe that's not such a bad idea...." and we broke up.

so i didn't have relationship PROBLEMS bc of mlb, but it was part of our breakup i guess lol

Nope. I've never had a problem with Red Sox girls(I'm a Yankee fan) and they've never had a problem with my Yankee beliefs. We just avoid talking about baseball. Ever.

Yes. My girlfriend and I got into a huge fight between why I thought Puckett was the best player in Twins history... she thinks otherwise.

Yes,

Even though my wife loves the tigers she gets irritated with me in the summers when I just want to watch the games. (I guess I'm not being productive enough......sigh....)
