When I write a song I do both together... It's hard to write music to the lyrics and opposite so try to write the lyrics and the music together, you know what I mean?
Good luck..

i think you get to decide but i prefer writing the lyrics and then music. If you are better at lyrics you could find someone to right the music while u do lyrics and vice versa.

I think that whatever works for you. I personally like to play some of the music, then add the lyrics, then play a little more and add more lyrics. then after 5 times i like to play what i have so far and edit it. thats what i would do.
