I'm a retired cheerleader but you need to be able to...
1)memorize dances and cheers.... I would suggest a hip hop class to sharpen up your skills.
2)do some really good gymnastics..... Which means back tuck, backhandspring, front handspring, etc. So keep practicing all these things so they become perfect. Maybe take an advanced tumbling class
3) Flexibilty....make sure your jumps are as high and big as they can be. You want to stand out in this area.
4) As for flying..... everyone is not cut out for flying, so if you sharpen up on your other skills and you can fly decently then I wouldn't worry about it. If you feel that flying is really your calling then you can join a competitive cheerleading team and you probably wouldn't have to take all those other classes.

Good luck!!!
