It's not a dumb question. People keep trying to tell me they've seen "cabbits" cats mated with rabbits. Hog wash! The other answerers who have said "no" are completely correct. There are rare examples of different species being closely related enough to produce offspring (horses and donkeys create mules) but they tend to be sterile and cannot reproduce themselves.

no. the same way you could not produce offspring with a rabbit, a rat cannot either

They might be able to but the problem with cross breeding animals is their offspring might not be fertile or only one genr and therefore the offspring cannot reproduce so it is pointless, a lion and tiger crossbred to make ligers with turned out could only produce a female so no reproduction could happen thats why those are not crossbred, could be the same for rats and rabbits.

No, they're not even in the same species line. Technically rabbits are not even rodents.

I think it's possible.. I've heard of an elephant and a mouse mating.. Of course.. the offspring did die shortly after it was born. And of course, i've read that humans can get dogs pregnant but the dog ends up miscarrying because of the species inside it... So even if they did happen to create soemthing ti wouldn't (and couldn't..) Last very long.
