Okay, here's the deal. Las Vegas is strict about carding. EVERYONE. (BTW - the Coyote Ugly slushie bar that someone else mentioned - they want ID for every drink. Three drinks in an order, they want to see the three ids of the people who will be drinking those drinks. They ID'ed my MOM there when she and I ordered drinks.)
Basically, what your underage friend can do with you is have nice dinners, go shopping, see some of the attractions - like the Eiffel Tower or the Fountains at Bellagio - , hit the pool, and take in a show or two. She can NOT get into any of the clubs or lounges or spend ANY time gambling. The casinos reserve the right to ask anyone in the casino for ID at any time, and will ask you to leave if you're underage. I got thrown out of the MGM Grand for being NINE DAYS under 21.
As far as a fruity drink - you can't go wrong with a Pina Colada or a Strawberry Daiquiri. They're really sweet. If you like flavored seltzer, try a flavored vodka with club soda. (My personal favorite is raspberry, but orange, strawberry, and pear are also good.)

20 year olds can be in the casinos. They can't be sitting at a machine though, but jeez people, you see little kids walking around casinos with their parents they will let a 20 year old in.
They won't let her in a club though, and I've never gone to a club or bar that doesn't card so that's going to be tough. You girls can go shopping, and out to dinner though.
If you want to drink, you can buy a drink and then wander around with your friend though. You can drink while walking down the street here. Check out coyote ugly (in New York New York), they have an alcohol slushie bar outside of the actual bar so you could get one of those and go out with your friend.
Oh, and btw: I wasn't suggesting that you buy your friend a drink at coyote ugly, just one for yourself. And of course they check ID, a great big duh to the answerer below me.

1. Midori Sour, Cherry Vodka Sour, Appletini (when i turned 21, I could not stand alcoholic drinks. I started off drinking midori sours because they are very sweet.)
2. She won't be able to gamble and some casinos won't even allow her in the slot/gambling area. So be prepared, she may not be able to hang out with you when you are gambling. Frankly, she might get very bored. Some ideas would be the midways (arcade), shopping (lots of great shopping!), shows (they can be expensive though).

Margaritas are good and so are Daiquiris- any flavor. As for you bringing your friend you can totally include her but she may be carded and escorted out. 21 and up at Casinos and Clubs. Good Luck and Happy Birthday (whenever it is) !!

1: pomagranate martinis
2: keep in mind 21+ and 20- everything is separate. so besides going out to dinner, there isn't anywhere you can drink that she will be allowed.

i would recommend leaving the friend at home. she won't even be able to walk into a lot of casinos, clubs, etc.
you'll end up in one of 2 situations:
- busted with a 20 year old in the casino, escorted out and told to never come back
- sitting in your room all night with your friend b/c she can't get in anywhere

No gambling and no booze. She's not even suppose to be on the casino floor. She is illegal if she is not 21.

Rum drinks are generally fruity, and I recommend you think about going that way. Daquiris, Mai-Tai's, Rum punch, Pina Coladas and the like. Avoid drinks that are very strong, like Rob Roys and Martinis.

Just keep one thing in mind. You're being warned in advance.
"What happens in Vagas. Stays in Vagas."
And they are talking about your "money."
I've known people, who have went there in brand new cars,
and left in $80,000 Coaches. <}:-})
