Here is a very good list to get you started:
1. Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan – a very popular choice.
2. The Conscious Universe by Dean Radin
3. David St. Claires "Instant ESP".
4. The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts and Robert F. Butts,
5. Entities among us by Carolyn Kaganovsky
6. Entity Possession by Samuel Sagan
There are also some really good magazines out there as well. My favourite is "FATE" - if you check out their website you can order one free copy to check out.
I hope that helps.

I found The Demonologist by Gerald Brittle to shed a new light to human and inhuman spirits. The book is about Ed & Lorraine warren. They have been involved with demonolgy since the late forty's.
I have also read a few more to get different points of veiw so I can pick the style and believes that best suit me. Ie; Ghost World by Melba Goodwyn, How to hunt Ghosts by Joshua Warren, The Unquiet Dead By Dr. Edith Fiore and just finished Ghost research 101 by dave Juliano. I am reading now Ghost Tech by Vince Wilson

I myself like the book When a Ghost Screams. it is a very interesting book. There is also the Directory of Haunted Places, both versions are nice the the American and International. It is a complete listing, very helpful for those ghost hunts! I almost forgot the Haunted Stories of Route 66 is always a good read. Faces of a Ghost Hunter is also pretty good, slow read but good info. Hope this helps!
