I'm not too sure, i've done both a million time and still can't figure out.
1) I love watching with people because we can talk about the line up etc and other football related stuff. Also, its a good atmosphere if you have a few beers. Going to the pub to watch a game is amazing too, especially if they all support the same team, its such a great feeling. On the other hand if your down the pub there may be people talking too much and you might not get the best seat!
2) I like watching footy on my own too because i can really concentrate and i can sit where ever i like and it doesn't take a million years to get served because i don't have to wait for drunks to get their mates 20 pints.

If we are winning with company, if losing by myself.
I don't really mind either way so long as the setting is comfortable I.e I can hear the commentary, I can watch the screen well enough to discern who is playing, where they are playing and what tactics they are using.
Only ritual I do is try to sit down and watch the match just as it is starting because I hate hearing the build up where some clueless pundit spouts a lot of cliches about either team which tell you nothing about either of the teams.

I prefer alone also. I hate people jabbering in my ear when I'm watching matches, especially matches with United, Sydney and Real. I get really annoyed !! Uhmmm Miz Boons maybe you should send the nephews here to watch, I'm always screaming and cursing at the TV..lol
Rituals, not really. I throw up a little prayer for the boys and as long as I have my coffee brewed , I'm OK.

I prefer to watch it by myself because like u said i can concentrate better and not get distracted. Plus i get really emotional and especially if my team loses, it's bad for those around me.lol. I like to eat potato chips witha soda. And no, i don't think i perform a ritual.....just a lot of screaming and cursing at the referee during the game.

Some with company and some alone. Like when it's a game like Atlético Madrid vs Real Madrid it's me against the world, since my brother prefers Real although he likes Atlético, my mom is a glory hunter, and my dad goes with Atléti only because he likes Barca [Traitor! Instead of following my grandfathers example lol] So I prefer alone for this one. In a game like Boca Juniors vs River Plate it's on! Company for sure! We have my brother and cousins singing the Boca chants. We have the others cursing back! And we have Boca Winning! Nothing better.
I don't really eat... Maybe grapes or some yogurt =]

i love to watch football with my dad since we're footie maniacs but we don't get to do that much now :(
my mother constantly calls in to check the score lol
i hate watching a match alone, you can't talk about it in the end coz ur the only one who saw it
i like to be on the phone with a friend or have him/her come over
usually its pizza
yeh rituals on very important matches!
sports parties dont work! i had 2 brazil fans, 1 french fan, we watched france v brazil and at the end when france won one friend left very angrily while the other nearly cried.....

I'd prefer company . . . but most of the time, it's too bad that i have no one to watchin footy with :(
hmmm, i eat nothing most of the time . . . well, maybe i have a few sweets, that's all
sometimes, i research about the teams and their players before i watch, so i'm not entirely confused about who the players are during the game :P

I don't have sky.. so watch it very rarely when I'm visiting a friend at his house..
he's silly enough to pay for sky .. so let him..
football is all about money now, not sport..
bunch of over paid sissy's .. give people like nurses the money.
if it's a national game the odd time I watch.. but sod paying their wages.

I prefer to watch in the company of other fans, at a bar/pub. I don't get the games at home.
Usually its a fattening lunch, with beer!!
no rituals, you mean like praying? lol
