when i right click on my computer>properties

it takes me to the system Properties

under the GENERAL TAB

where it says "Computer"


Like on mines it says

now why is it called Computer? it should be labeled as CPU

it is like this with Pretty much all versions of XP

I guess the CPU is Also The "computer"

but it would be cool if it said CPU...Instead Computer!!

i know it is a Computer.

The information it is giving you is more than that about the CPU. It is also telling you how much RAM you have, which is unrelated to the CPU.

So it is telling you about your COMPUTER (what CPU it has and how much RAM it has).

Putting it the way you suggest, implies that the CPU has 0.99 GB of RAM, which would be incorrect.

They use the term Computer so people won't debate what the CPU actually is. Or will they debate if the CPU is a computer or not. Sounds like a question for the philosophy class.

Call it what you like...it will run the same.
