They have been dating for a couple months. My friend and I go to college together. I have talked to her about this many times. She is well aware of how he is acting. When he gets drunk he will call me ( i never answer when he calls) and he sends me inappropriate text messages. Then when i call her and forward her the text messages, she apparently talks to him then, he gets mad and sends me really mean texts. She even told me that he hit her when he was drunk. When he is sober, he still calls and texts me and all he says is how sorry he is and how he really is a nice person. I don't know what to do anymore. He won't leave me alone. I have told her many times to break up with him and that he is an alcoholic. Plus, I have verizon and he doesn't and my phone bill is going to be huge!! What should I do?

First, change your number with no forwarding number. Second, ask him to reimburse the money for his text and calls when he learns of the change... do not allow anyone to give out your number. Third, this has become harrassment... maybe have your dad, brother, or someone call him and tell'em to back off. He is not respectful of you or his so-called girlfriend. Don't let it continue or escalate... end it by changing the number and let him know the cell phone company's keep a record of his calls. Don't be with your friend if he is their too... maybe she will wake up. Good Luck.

Im not so sure you want him to go away because the truth is if he truely is harrassing you as you say, you can get the authorities involved. The only other thing that works is become an undesirable person to him. Also when he calls your work, tell him you cannot take calls at work any longer and that you will get in trouble if he calls again. If he does still like you he will respect that. He can only make you feel bad about dating someone if you are allowing him to continue speaking to you. Change your phone number. You dont really want him to go away, if you did you would make it happen. Im not being mean, you just need to be honest with yourself.

You need to save a few inappropriate text messages and voice mails and take them to the police. They can advise you how to stop him. I would think an order of protection is what you need; then block him from your phone.
He is not a nice person but it's up to your friend what she does regarding him.

This guy is exhibiting violent behavior and it's not safe for you or your friend. He seems to have a very unhealthy fascination w/ you and if you do not want him to contact you, you need to make that clear to him verbally and thru ONE text message b/c if you have to escalate this to the authorities (and u should) they're going to look at your cellphone to determine if he is indeed harassing you or if you are talking to him (i.e. answering his calls and texting him back). And furthermore, this chick is not your true friend. She's clearly choosing him over you. You've told her her boyfriend is practically stalking you and she continues to see him?! Get rid of her and him!

This is a very serious situation girl! You need to really tell your friend to dump him, and you should avoid him completly. If he continues to abuse your friend or abuse you by calling and texting you, call the police or get help. Don't be afraid!
