I asked earlier if my nose will go back to normal, and the response was mainly "I've never heard of that." So, now I'll ask- did your nose spread when you were prego, and how long before it went back to normal?
If you've never heard of this it happens!! I'd never heard of it till after I was prego. Supposedly if your nose spreads you are having a girl, but that's just an old wives tale- even though I am having a girl!

Well my nose did get bigger while i was pregnant too. But i had a boy. It actually swells. Because of extra water as well as you feet and sometimes hands. But it will go back to normal. After i had my son i think a week later it was pretty much normal. So yes it does happen but not to everyone.

a co-worker of mine just had a little boy last friday (Dec 21) and her nose got so wide during her pregnancy!!!!
It's very common, whoever told you they'd never heard of it must have been living in a cave or something.
As for how long it takes to go back to normal...I have no idea. I haven't seen her since she gave birth so Id have to guess. And Im pretty sure you could guess on your own without me having to throw a time frame out there.

Nooooo...that's an old wives tale. They say if your nose spreads you'll have a boy I believe. Not true at all. I've got one boy and I'm pregnant with a girl and my nose is just as it's always been.

My nose spread...along with everything else!lol. No, seriously my nose did get wider, but I had a boy. It went back to normal fairly quickly, like a month or two.

My nose got a little bigger, because of the swelling... your nose is made of cartilage, not several bones, so it doesn't technically spread... it is just extra fluid. My hands and feet have also swelled a lot, but it goes away after you have the baby. (By the way, I am having a boy.)

My nose did... and IS still... I'm having a boy so it is just an old wives tale... This is my first baby and I am REALLY hoping that it does go back to normal... Hope yours does too... I asked the nurse and she said "Hun, everything is gonna swell... But give it a few weeks to go back to normal after you have the baby"... So far that's encouraging me... lol...

Mine did...it was HUGE! And I only have a small nose normally...but it went back down again perfectly after baby was born.
It has swollen up this time as well...it's just swelling...your nose hasnt "grown" or anything.

With my 1st pregnancy I got a wicked case of fat nose!
It went back to normal after I had the baby.
When my sister in law gets fat nose BAD every pregnancy.

I've heard of this (I live in Georgia). It may just be an old wive's tale. It might have something to do with weight gain...I dunno. I am 20 weeks and my nose is still the same. Hopefully, it will go back to normal for you!
