Well, there are 336 division 1 College basketball schools. And 15 players per team. So there are roughly 5040 players just in Division 1! Not counting other divisions and players who come right out of High School.

There are only 30 NBA teams, 2 rounds of drafting. So only 1.2 percent of all college players make it to the NBA. Probably less then that!

So, chances are unless your are the elite of the elite very slim. But you sound like a good player so keep practicing and stay in school and get all the advantages you can and get an education!

Good Luck!

Your question is a very good one to be asking yourself and your answer has to be "I don't know." Most people's chances are one in a million. Your chances are much better, but still there are so many reasons why you might not make it. Maybe your chances are one in a hundred and that's terrific, but not something you should start to count on.
Don't get me wrong. If you have a passion, go for it with all your heart, but don't assume that you don't need to do the rest of what you need to do to prepare for life.
For you, basketball is easy. What about academics, taking time for community service, etc., do those come so easily too? Look for what you find difficult and excel in those areas as well.

You are 14. No one can know how you will develop as a player over the next 4-8 years or so. It sounds like you are doing well now, but you never know. I hate to bring up the "I" word (injury), but it can happen at any time, and can be a career-killer. A number of years ago I had a student who was a lottery pick in the NBA. I remember talking with him about other players on his college team, who had seemed just as capable in college, none of whom had gone on to be as successful as he was. He said that playing in the NBA was a very different situation, and that making the transition, even if you could get in, was tough. Further, some of the people who had had injuries in college were just passed over altogether, because they never could have made it. I wish you the best, but it is a very tough life.

Depends. You need to be WAY taller. And work a little harder on your skills. And you weigh TOOOOO much. 197 is how much a professional hockey player weighs!!! I'm 7'4 and I'm 13. I am the star player in my Junior High team too. I play center too. The rest of my team is REALLY GOOD!!! But I recieve all the passes my team makes because I'm really good.

you could and you have great chances but 1st get into highschool make the varsity your goal is to become the star player at wat eva skool you go yo that way when scouts from colleges look for people they'll be coming to see you because once you hit high school all the games you(ur team) wins gets put in the paper as well as the mvp of the night etc.
keep playing and keep goood grades you'll probably grab yourself a full ride to a uc then from there keep being that star and they'll try to grab you

Kid, I'm not calling you a liar, but I don't believe you. Who would? Dude, you should know if you've got a career in basketball if colleges are sending you letters (D1 schools). If multiple D1 schools recruit you, and you are above a 3 star (go the Scout.com to find out), it looks like you've got a good chance of going D1 and turning pro. Also, if you want to continue to play center in the NBA, you gotta hit at least 6'10. But if you wanna consider playing PF, then at least 6'8. Good luck.

thats up to you. If your stats were acurate we would already know about you. To get to the NBA you have to do good in high school, score high on ur SAT's. Stay out of trouble and away from groupies. the odds of making the NBA are almose "impossible" think about it. 60 picks in 1 draft. about 30 sign. about 15 go on to have a career over 5 years

It's always good to dream but do make other plans for an education as well. Do not count on making the NBA...there are a lot of talented young ones in this world and it sounds like you have great statistics but you want to be well rounded just in case! Good luck!

if what you write is true and you have good grades so you can qualify for a divison 1 school because even if you are the next lebron james if your failing class you can't get any scholarship even a athletic so my opinion coming from your spelling no not likely first go to high school and college and see how you do but chances of you making slim to none
