There are so many from Frans Hals. The personality of each subject feels is if it jumps out at you from the canvas.
It's amazing the detail he was able to obtain with so few brush strokes. In fact when you get up close to his paintings you can see these fluid strokes as if he were "flicking" the paint on the canvas. Each stroke is precisely placed and full of life.
If I had to choose one painting, and, that is difficult to do, I would choose, what has become the accepted name of the painting, 'Laughing Cavalier'

I love it all. There are an endless number of great works of art out there. I don't see how I can choose a favorite. I guess that's why they say life imitates art. Right? Or do they art imitates life? Or is it just a coincidence? The world may never know.

Photography. The scenery is beautiful where I live and my camera and I have a lot of fun every time the season changes. Although... I do love art in general.

Sculpture not scukpture.. anyway...
I personally love photography & writing & paintings. My favorite photo is of a tree, I don't remember what it's called...but it's beautiful...my favorite piece of writing is either this poem my friend wrote, or titanic, about the true story. And my favorite painting...well there are way too many!

I love the works of Tamara de Lempicka. Her art is all about the 1920s and 1930s.
