each motherboard is different see your documentation for yours

On the Macs i believe they top out at 1 gb. me im useing Vista Ultimate with 2 gb of DDR2 RAM. If they do make more then 1024MB ram sticks(they probaly do but i did not serch for one. then vista should be able to top out at 4 gb. and so on.

64bit Vista will support up to 128GBs of ram. Thats what they use in servers. It depends on your motherboard.

It would depend on the specs for the cpu - they usually give an expansion range.
