My favorite shows are foreign...mostly BBC, so the strike in America does not effect me. Besides which, I have thousands of video tapes, and hundreds of DVDs, full of movies/TV shows. I can stage my own re-runs of what I want, when I want. If they never aired another new show in all of eternity I would still be able to watch things I already have. I live in the USA, but rarely watch American broadcast TV. The American TV shows I like best are already off the air, and on tape/DVD. Mission Impossible, Dark Shadows, Remington Steele, The Time Tunnel, The FBI, Hawaiian Eye, Futurama, Star Trek, etc, etc. I also like older BBC shows: Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Are You Being Served, My Hero, Ballykissangel, Goodnight Sweetheart, My Family, Inspector Morse, etc. For me, Tv is a luxury...NOT a necessity. That is what the writers get for trying to foist garbage such as Mork & Mindy, My Name Is Earl, etc, upon me over the years. I turned to past, and foreign, programs to avoid current crapola...and have been doing so for decades. Neither what the writers do write, or what they don't write, is going to have the slightest impact upon me. If the strike ever ends, and the writers turn out the occasional thing worth watching, I may tune in again. Then, again, I may not. I am still on strike as far as watching baseball is concerned. When I wanted to watch, the players were on strike and would not play. I had to find other things to do. I did. I still do them, now that baseball players are playing again. So...I have not watched a baseball game since the BB strike began. Pray that I do not take a similar path with regards to TV once the writers strike is over...because I am halfway there already.

Absolutely! I wish the industry would realize that the workers need compensation - I love how they flounder around saying they don't know how to work with this new medium, but at one point, radio was a new medium! As was newpaper, magazine, t.v. etcetera, so hopefully they'll do what they've done before, sit down and struggle it out. I love the shows and watch the reruns sometimes but I can't wait for the new eps.

Not really. This is actually a bad time for a writers' strike. Everything is supposed to be re-runs nowadays, anyway. Best for them to do this is May or November, when the sweeps is on.

YES!!! Three weeks between new episodes of Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives?? That is so lame, how can they do a two-part show and take a month to show the second part??

Yes, I'm sick of reruns. The only shows I like that it hasn't are Nancy Grace and the Soup. I wish they would just settle already, I can handle a few weeks of reruns for a cause, but its getting frustrating now.

Yes, and this really sucks too. The least they could do is put on some better movies. I get tired of watching the same movies over and over for 2 weeks.

No, I'm a TV elitist. I hate commercials. The series that I watch are on premium channels.

NO -- hope they remain on strike. They get paid too much... Jay Leno's opening monolog was funny 10 years ago --- love his show...
