While all the above mentioned are great and I'd probably lean towards "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper, you should consider giving a nod to "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. The fact that it stands the test of time is that it was recorded again by other artists and will forever be remembered for it's prominence in the 80's movie hit "The Breakfast Club." Awesome song and movie combination.

I'd say from that list for some reason Soft Cell - Tainted Love sticks out for me. Something about those 80's catchy jingles (which I love) that can always keep them likeable. You know what though, it wasn't originally done by them so I'm gonna have to change my mind. Thriller it is!

I would go with either Triller or Time after Time. Personally, I like Time after Time better, but I think Thriller is more popular.
