I never heard of anyone who just ate chips for a meal. I think it would be boring. I always want either fish with my chips or a hamburger. I'm not too much into hamburger unless it's from either In and Out or Jack In The Box. The rest pretty much taste like shoe leather.
I would love to have fish and chips in Ireland. I can just taste it now......(drool is running down my mouth and chin!!!) You have to treat me when I come see you!!!

We've always been able to get an order of fries, although
I havn't had that since I was a teenager (pre-clogged
arteries). The under 20's can still eat this greasy fare
but most people trade it in for healthier food as they
get older. Every fast food restaurant carries this and
I think now they're using the kind of fat to cook them
in that's healthier...no transfats. I can't imagine having
fries for a meal when I could have broiled salmon,
asparagus, a fresh salad and a glass of California
white wine instead. To each their own.

Wednesday dinner time. I hadn't had chips for ages. A large bag of chips with loads of salt and vinegar, used my fingers of course, great !

I had fries with my burger yesterday. It was not a fast-food type place,so it was pretty good. I've never had just fries for a meal, though.

That would be last week, they were dowsed in salt and vinegar and steaming hot so along with the piece of cod they made a very nice supper for the homeless person I gave it to.
