I'm not attractive, so I would say it's probably easier if you are attractive. Maybe it's a case of the "grass being greener on the other side of the fence".

I completely disagree with Alella. Sure it doesn't hurt to be attractive and it may come easier in the beginning - but anyone or anything worth a grain of salt has got to have some substance to them. Look at all all the unattractive people who are successful and have everything going for them. If you are gifted or have an amazing personality I have found that it gets you a LOT further because looks only last so long. And you can be as good looking as all get out, but if you're a ding bat or shallow then you aren't going to get very far.

I can think of quite a few musicians and celebrity's that are hugely successful and rich and aren't attractive at all (Marilyn Manson anyone??) I'd rather spend my time with someone I can actually have a good conversation with ... that isn't attractive ... then someone who is that I'd rather never hear from.

Sure in some ways looks pave the way ... but you've got to have what it takes to win the respect and love of others if your life is going to be worth anything in the end.

it's been proven pretty much that attractive people get more attention than unattractive ones, in many areas of life. I'm no dog, but I'm not a pretty boy either. I get what I want through education and words.
