Seriously, Friday is the day to send out bad news mail or to lay off a person, because nothing will be done about it until Monday. Also, since it seems pointless to start a new project on Friday afternoon, that's the time to wrap up the details, finish the paperwork, do the filing, get things organized so you come in to a neat work space Monday morning, and get revved up to dig in.
