In gold jewelry, is the softest gold- 24k ? And the hard is 10k? And 24k is most expensive?

24K Gold - pure gold. It is not mixed with any other metal. Gold is a soft metal. If you make jewellery using 24K, there is a possibility it might bend, brake etc. That is why, 24K gold is kept as gold bars. Jewellerys can be made using 22K.

22K gold - 95% gold mixed with other metal (mostly copper).
10K gold - less than half of the metal is gold.

White gold comes in all the k that gold gold does. 24k golf is all gold and is probably softer. 12k gold is 1/2 gold and has other things added to make it cheaper (and maybe harder).
