Philadelphia and Pittsburgh played a game a few years ago that lasted 8 hrs and 16 minutes

The Mud Bruneteau goal ended a game that lasted 5 hrs and 9 min (despite having lasted the longest on ice) but that was before 15 minute intermissions and TV timeouts

I can't recall when it was, or who was even playing, but it went to six overtimes.

Obviously it was a playoff game.
