They do fertilize eggs internally like all mammals and the egg is close to the size of a human egg. Whales have cells about the same size as our cells, but they have a lot more of them to achieve their large body size.

The egg cells of most species on Earth are about the same size. The egg cell of a human being is not much different to the egg cell of a whale.
The size of the species differs because the cell, once fertilized, splits into two cells, which then divide into two cells -- over and over again -- until the genetic information of the species says when.
Human cells would not divide as many times as a whale cell does, hence the different size of the species.
The egg is basically the same size as our own.

*drum roll*
Well... a human sperm cell or "spermatozoon" is approximately 50 micrometers (µm) long or 0.05 millimeters long. A human egg cell or "ovum" is 145 micrometers (µm) in diameter or 0.145 millimeters in diameter. A sperm whale is up to 18 meters long, or 18,000 millimeters long.
Algebra time!!
18,000 / 0.05 = N / 0.145, where N = size of "egg whale" (for lack of a better term)
simplify...
18,000 / 0.05 x 0.145 = N
N = 52,200 millimeters or 52.2 meters or 171 feet 3 inches in diameter! That a big egg!
