In general guys say that they like girls who look natural without makeup, but then a lot of guys think that celebrities are hot, but they wear a lot of makeup! Does this make any sense?
Basically it seems like a girl on the street shouldn't wear makeup but celebrities can? I'm confused!

It's not that girls on the street shouldn't wear makeup, it's that they shouldn't wear it BADLY. Celebrities have makeup artists who spend hours blending properly making them look flawless without any hint that they wear makeup. Girls on the street just need to make sure that the color they use aren't over the top, and everything flows and looks like they were born that way.

I think it depends on the makeup application - if it's done to look natural, or airbrushed and helped digitally in pictures/movies to look natural - then it's more like a woman wearing no makeup IRL. Though, honestly - my husband is always complaining about how fake celebrities look with the makeup, skin tone, etc.
I think it depends on the makeup, the celebrity, the woman, and the man....there's different tastes out there, and there's so many different ways to apply/wear makeup....

but some celebritys get their make up done to look natural and the amount of makeup doesn't really mean how natural the celebritys look, it just depends on what kind of makeup and how it's put on. plus, guys probably only like celebs because they're famous, because without makeup a lot of them look horrible!

Makeup vs NO make up is a black and white issue.
The guys who like celebrities have makeup applied so skillfully as to appear to have no makeup on at all. THIS is the beauty they turn toward.

A guy's opinion: Yes, this is a contradiction, but it has an answer just the same.
Most men view the world through a lense of practicality: we prefer utility to drama. So, when a guy says he likes his woman with a natural look, while at the same time complimenting her after she's made herself up, what he's really saying is that he appreciates the effort that she's going through, but would really like it if she didn't have to do so much work. (Note that if you ever mention that you feel required to make yourself up for him, your guy might take that as an *accusation* that he doesn't appreciate you, and he'll be hurt.)
If anything, ask him if he minds you spending the time. That will definitely provoke an honest answer.

Tons of makeup only looks good at night, for low lighting! The celebs look good for the camera with all that makeup, but not in reality!
The best makeup for everyday is the more natural look.

Well theres an old saying goes something like...."there's girls you *** and there's girls you marry."
In other words...yeah guys are gonna look at ho's and say wow they are hot!
But...they are not likely to get down on their knee and ask them to marry them, give them a big diamond ring and raise their kids.
Not that you can't be attractive and be a mom and raise kids.
You can. Just that who wants to see a momma pushin a carriage with all her goods hangin out?? Looks trashy.
As far as makeup goes, I've found that accentuating your natural beauty with colors that work with you are most attractive on you, and most attractive to the opposite sex.
Like..the natural look but with a little help.
Some bronzer...mascara....neutral shades of eye and lip color and some gloss...

celebrities just wear make-up because of paparazzi's
cameras are in their faces, they have to look good on tv or magazines
it really depends on the guy. different guys like different girls. so wearing make-up might attract some guys. guys think celebrities are hot because there famous or look very sexy.

The guys who are telling you they want to not to wear makeup are doing so because they don't want to wait on you while you spend an hour in the bathroom getting ready.
