In this case there is no question. The Ross School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is far and away the best program in Michigan.

University of Michigan, Ross

Trust me, if you're talking Michigan there is no better program than ross and no stronger alumni network.

Look at the rankings, Ross is in at least the top 15-20 mba programs in the country. Who else is there in michigan that can compete?

Whoever said something about 2-4 years of work experience, it is like that at every top business school. They let a very small percentage of students go from undergrad strait to b-school with out work experience, but they have to be exceptional. And also it is losing the value of the MBA. It is a good thing that ross requires work expierence.

As far as HBS being the only business school with a strong alumni network? Thats not true. What about Stanford GSB and Wharton? Ross has the strongest alumni network in michigan.

UM is the best, but they will expect you to work for 2-4 years before getting your MBA. Great program though, and the alumni network is only bettered by that of Harvard.

I had a hard time finding out which school was best for my business degree... but then someone told me I could look up business magazines and they usually rank universitys each year. So just pick one of the mags and go to their site. Use the search engine and find schools that have been ranked high for a few consecutive years at least and that will help you figure it out! Good luck!
