Hello,
Yes, this router in addition to being able to accept and provide wireless connectivity, it also has 4 ethernet LAN ports as well as 1 ethernet WAN port. These accept wired connections.
This is a link to a nice picture on newegg.com of the back of your router model. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.aspx?CurImage=33-124-010-03.JPG&Image=33-124-010-09.jpg%2c33-124-010-04.JPG%2c33-124-010-03.JPG%2c33-124-010-02.JPG%2c33-124-010-06.JPG&S7ImageFlag=0&Depa=0&Description=LINKSYS+WRT54G+Wireless-G+Broadband+Router

Most wireless routers have 4 outputs for different computers to be added to there through a wired Ethernet connection. Plug in the Ethernet cable coming from the device that you want to have Internet to one of the ports in the wireless router labeled LAN1, LAN2, LAN3, or LAN4. The port labeled Internet on the router must be coming from an Internet source, like a cable modem or an Ethernet wall jack. For wireless capability, that's all you need, but other computers can be plugged in the router as well for a wireless connection.

I use it and it works very well. It has 4 wired ethernet ports. Really no limit on wireless devices.
It's important to let your ISP (cable provider) know the MAC address of your router so they can connect to it. You might want to call them first just to make sure they will support your router - Time Warner didn't used to support any customer routers.
The only problem I had with setup was the MAC address had a B in it that looked like an 8 - very hard to tell the difference in the extra small print.

Check the documentation for the router. This model is a 4-port switch, which means you can plug 4 ethernet cables into it. When setting it up you need pay careful attention to the directions and follow the order carefully, or else it won't work properly.

A wireless router sends the Internet to any device that accepts wireless signals. It also sends files from one device to another.
Yes you can hard wire from a wireless router to an Xbox 360.
They usually have around 4 hard wire connections.
You can also share files from your PC to your 360 with a router such as music, movies and pictures. If you have Vista, you can have Media Center on your 360.

thats a good router, i have it and have had minimal problems with it. yes you can plug ethernet cords into it, like from desktops to it. or you can buy wireless PCI or USB adapter for your desktop and run them that way, so there are less cables. that linksys router has 1 internet port that you connect your modem to, and 4 regular ethernet ports that you can connect laptops or desktops to. wirelessly you can connect up to 50 computers or laptops with that router, or hardwired you can connect the same amount, but you would need HUBs or Switches to get the extra ports.
