We may have the opportunity of winding out in the next couple of years. I expect that it will, but there will sure be a lot of 401k investors who will be disappointed if it does.

There are too many safeguards in place for that senario to happen. The SEC will be heavily involved as will the government to prevent such an event . There are also too many speculators( not investors) who will hop on to prevent prices from falling to that extreme.
