I have three computers in my household and all of them are connected to the internet.

Recently, just a few days ago, the computer with the wireless router's internet has not been working.

I am currently using cox on all of these computers as well.

I have shut down the computer with the internet that is not working many times and the internet is still not working.

I also then noticed that today that on the computer whos internet isnt working, at the bottom right hand side with the task bar it says "local are connection - a network cable has been unplugged"

but this same saying is happening on one of the computers whos internet is working.

i know this sounds very confusing but does anybody know how to fix this?

I would suggest that you try to go to your network settings, by going to the Control Panel and then clicking on Network and Internet Connections. From there, you should right click on your connection and then click on Repair and see if that helps you.

If that doesn't work, then I'd suggest that you try to reset your router by unplugging it for fifteen seconds or so and then plugging it back in.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

Problem seems to be with Wireless Configuration on your computer.

go to Start> Control Panel> Network Connections (or Network and Internet Connections> Network Connections as the case may be)

Double click on Wireless Connection
- check if it finds and wireless network
- if it does then try connecting to it.
