I have a relative who is in her 70's and likes to play solitaire on my computer. Question is: is there any simple game system out there that I can hook up to her TV so she can play at home?

Getting her a computer is out of the question. She will never be able to figure it out. I'm looking for some kind of console that I can hook up for her, then she can easily turn it on/off to play. Hand-held games with small screens are too small for her to see, so that's not an option either. Any ideas????

I would say a Wii personally. I've heard stories of older people actually having people over to play bowling or simple tennis games. Even starting leagues in their homes for bowling games.

It's hard to beat solitaire though. The 360 has a lot of arcade titles. One of them is Soltrio Solitaire, which is a large collection of Solitaire games. The controls would be funky though, so I'll stick to my first opinion of the Wii. Maybe they'll release a card game pack for it sometime.

Well I suppose Guitar Hero is out of the question?

But i honest;y dont know what a 70 year old lady would like in terms of game console of choice. It's kind of a hard call, because the colsole also depends on what type of game you want to give her. A genesis is good but i'm sure you wont give her Sonic!

Is there anything else you could give her? Maybe a portable DVD player?

A Wii would be good for an older person, but I don't know how simple to operate it would be for an older person.

One of those plug-in games that you just buy from the store and connect to your T.V. would be a good option, and they look very simple to use.
