there is a whole new year and whole life in front of everyone and yet this time of year gets to everyone. If only we treated every week of our lives with as much gussto and thought perharps things would be different

I'm inclined to agree. I see this fake holiday "joy" as a ploy to excuse otherwise selfish and malicious behavior during the rest of the year. It's akin to living a life filled with debauchery, greed, and spite towards one's fellow man only to "save" oneself right before they "meet their maker" as a means of absolving such past "sins."

If these people truly were sincere, they would spread goodwill and faith towards humanity year-round instead of reserving it for a relatively short period of time. (What's ironic is that the holiday season is also the time of year when the rates of depression and suicide are at their peak. Just another point to ponder.)

Good point, but its been done to death, no offense. But we've been hearing this perception since hallmark took christmas over and still people are pretty apathitic towards it. Glad you have the motivation to think that way, and the drive to share it, but too little, too late, hence why I do what I do, best of luck with your life, and your purpose....
