There's not enough blood in the story for the media to care.

All of the 'present' is a result of all of the 'past'. Bad decisions coupled with incompetence never results in a 'good' outcome. The problem here is that sometimes something that seems like a good idea at the time and turns out that was exactly the wrong thing to do. By the time people figure out that it was 'the wrong thing to do' the events originally set in motion are institutionalized or what is called a 'high equilibrium trap'. 'Ferinstance'! Using oil as a prime energy source certainly seemed like a good thing at the beginning of the 20th century. There was plenty of it, nobody worried about pollution and the people that lived where oil was plentiful were easily controled by the west's advanced technology. Now, we're stuck with oil as a prime energy source as oil comglomerates (The Oil Mafia) found out how easy it is to control events and profits by influencing national governments. However, at this point the 'natives are restless'...that is a growing minority of people in the middle east where the oil is want us out and they're willing to make a fight of it. Of course all this has been wrapped in the fig leaf of 'religion', but as they say...follow the money. You can forget the 'media'....check out the banks!

Oh for Heaven's sake.

"The media" is to blame for everything. The "media" doesn't report this enough. The "media" reports this too much.

This is ridiculous. How do you even know about the status of the dollar and the anxiety of Wall Street? The MEDIA!

Iraq is a huge issue because Americans are dying there everyday. But the media is reporting on domestic problems as well.

they are all the same.... a result of apathetic, lazy, selfish culture wa have become.... the dollar sucks because we have no value for it... we dont value it ourselves, why do we think others will?... if we cant afford something we dont have to focus, work harder, plan ahead or anythinl like that we work the system and get credit, default on our promises to the banks and others with no concius..... and we steal from the people who got it right and work hard to pay the way of those who dont....

campain issue.. this cant become one because it is hugly uncomfortable, and the majority of people dont want to make the sacrifices that are best long tem, they want effortless easier life today.....cant win an election without appeasing the majority.

Forien problems.... we jad the privalage of living in a nation that was progressive, and prosperise for 200 years.. we got fat and lazy, started bullying the world...and others who were hungery worked hard, and are now surpassing, us and really dont want to put up with our mouth anymore, and are nearing the point where they wont have to...... and we are scared.. at least the ones who arent oblivious to worls events... and like any body who is scared, we start trying to elimnate threats before they are threats just out of our own insecurities...

Domestic problems....... pretty much stem from lazyness apathy, and entitalment...... how do you get someone who believes they are owed something to let it go and get a real job?.... thats tough... I dont think that will be solved by polititions since what needs to be done is not popular... what canidate would say in a debate,,,... we are all going to get off our asses, drop our arigant pride, and take care of ourselves... you dont save money for retirement, then you dont retire...... I dont care if you are eating dog food in the streets....... we can not teach our kids that if your dish is empty that you can go eat off somone elses plate... that is why we are where we are.....

I will be running for president in 2012... appreciatee your vote...

They won't make it an election issue because the only reason why it is so low is because the Federal Reserve is pumping Billions of dollars more into the economy. They are literally printing more dollars so its worth less now.

And the reason why they won't make it an issue is because the owners of the Fed are too powerful.

Domestic problems. Thanks to the War we've been fighting, and our government's refusal to back off on their tax cuts for the rich - electing instead to fund the war by driving the country further in to historic debt... the US dollar is primed for a crisis and the economy is about to have the bottom fall out of it. Be ready for a very bad recession and lean economic times that we haven't seen in many years.

Thanks Georgie and Dick!

Rupert Murdoch needs us concentrating on OJ's new trial, the use of steroids by baseball players, Lindsay's or Britney's meltdown, and five-question relationship breakup tests... not the real issues that can have us reliving the worst depression the world has ever seen!

China, at any time, can send the USD into the toilet. The USA at that point would have a hard time keeping up appearances.

This election should be about how many more tax cuts can we hand out to get elected.

domestic.

They won't make it an election issue because it will only lead to a mud slinging blame game.
