You are referring to his vampiels, women he bit three time to convert them into his willing love slaves. They are not wives and the number is arbitrary. In the originalbook he had three you know of in Transylvania and the he adds Lucy and tries to and more, so the number can grow with no boundaries.

You are probably referring to the movie "Van Helsing" in which they talked about his children, a creation that could not happen but they threw it in for fiction. Vampires can't reproduce. They can only change people and they only change women in particular. Men they eat because they do not want to share the women.

Dracula as original portrayed is predatorial and territorial like a silver back gorilla. He has to be the only male in the pack, so he can have as many women as he wants.

To be honest I have no idea why such a creature would even want a vampiel. If you can have any woman you want just by looking at them why settle? It is a flaw in his character.
