You 'll be around a different class of people in college. Most are there because they want to be... they have set goals and realize the importance of a college degree. So, most college kids are mostly concerned about their classes and grades. I had a blast at the university... I met some terrific people. I hope you will do. Just remember, what you give to people is usually what you get back.

It depends on what college. You will have a chance to regain your reputation in college, I did. You can make new friends and put old ways behind you. I go to a women's college and it is far less catty than highschool. Serious things in highschool are now silly to me. I often escape from the drama by actually doing my school work. You'll enjoy college if you go into it with the right attitude. It's all up to you and not just the people around you. Join clubs and get active, study and do other things then socalize. I think you'll do fine if you work hard and get involved. I aim to make more friends my second semester of college, make sure to get involved. Best wishes

A lot of the drama fades away before you get to college.
Keep in mind that most colleges are HUGE, many times the size of your high school. And 99.9999999% of these people have absolutely no idea who you are or what you are like. So you all start with a clean slate. You have no history with these people, so you can just focus on the present.
Also, yes, people do mature a little bit in college. Your world gets so much bigger, that gossip and cliques and crap like that just can't function like they do in high school - it's hard to spread a rumor to 30,000 people about someone they don't know about and don't care about.
So yeah, start fresh. Be nice and friendly to everyone, and leave the old drama behind.

You might want to look in the mirror a bit. You tend to attract people most like yourself. Many people say they are "sick of the drama" but really feed off it and love to say someone is hating etc. If you are a mature and cultured individual who is intellectual you will attract similar individuals in college and those are probably the least drama-inducing people on the planet.
Good luck.

In college people sort of drift off to do their own thing. Any time you're contained in such a small area you're going to get the cattiness, so when you have the freedom to do as you please in college you get away from that (except for perhaps the freshmen dorms). So, rest assured, it will get better. In the mean time I suggest you read Catcher in the Rye.

Don't try to be friends with every one in college. Avoid people you don't like in college. You will find friendly as well as disgusting people in college. It is all up to yourself how you deal with them. Usually people are bit mature in college than highschool.

They have conceited and stuck-up people who think everyone owe's them something. Just stay in your own little world and worry about college, blahblahblah, then the only reason people could hate you is for grades...
