JayBug is right, it could have just been a chameleon. How large was it?
Although, there have been (even recently) reports of strange animals in the amazon and the congo that sound a lot like dinosaurs. And there are reports of giant flying reptiles in Indonesia, and so forth.
There are thousands of square miles of almost impenetrable swamps and thick jungle in the world. And natives in some of these places describe beasts that fit with what just might be dinosaurs. And what about all the sightings of lake monsters?
This is a field called cryptozoology—the search for hidden animals. There just might be a few dinosaurs left, teetering on the edge of extinction. We are constantly discovering new species of animals and plants in remote areas. A tree can’t run away and hide and yet the Wollemi pine tree (said to have become extinct millions of years ago) avoided detection until just recently.

why is everyone so sure of the fact that dinosaurs are not still existing? i'm not sure about this instance, but i do feel that there's a high possibility that there could be some still in existance. i mean 70% of the earth is water and we humans haven't searched 80% of that. there have been reports for centuries about a dinosaur in the congo of africa and there have been many sightings of things like nessie that could possibly be dinosarrs or descendents of them. so i think before we go writing this off as a joke we shold actually investigate it more. so yes i do believe that there is a possibility of these things being alive.

Dinosaurs were vertebrate animals that dominated terrestrial ecosystems for over 160 million years, first appearing approximately 230 million years ago. At the end of the Cretaceous Period, 65 million years ago, a catastrophic extinction event ended the dominance of dinosaurs on land. One group of dinosaurs is known to have survived to the present day: taxonomists believe modern birds are direct descendants of theropod dinosaurs.

hmmm.... Very interesting. Have you been watching too many Jurassic Park movies. LOL. Whereas there may be a slim possibility that some dinosaurs or animals from those eras are alive, I highly dope that you would have petted one or even saw one. Lay of the weed man.
