each laptop or notebook is a bit different.
look to the right hand top end of the keys where the f1 through f12 keys are.
You should see a prt-sc in or around the insert key.
On the left bottom you will see a FN key with the same color background as the PRT-SC key.
Press them both at the same time to get a print screen.
Then paste the image into a word document or Paint.
Good Luck

Hi there. Usually, this is a combination of three buttons on most laptop keyboards. At the bottom right, you might find an "Fn" button that might be blue. Hold that down, along with Alt, then, at the top right, choose the PrntScreen button. Once you've done so, go to Start->Run and type mspaint, then hit Enter. This should open Microsoft Paint if you have it installed. Hit CTRL+V to paste the contents of the buffer which contains the screenshot you just took.
Alternatively, you might want to try a program that really simplifies this process for you. It's called SnagIt. You can download a trial version of the software from www.download.com or you can purchase the software directly buy visiting www.techsmith.com.
Hope this helps,

Laptop keyboards vary but there should be a 'print screen' button on the top right hand side of the keyboard. If it is the second line of text on the button or is a different colour, press that button while holding down the function key ('fn'). Once it has print screened just use paste to paste it into your desired prgram such as graphic editors, word processors etc..

On mine it is the 3rd key from the right on the top row. It says Prt SC and Sys Rq.
Sometimes you have to hold the Ctl key down while you click Prt Sc.
