Corporations who have military defense contracts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The lobbyists for companies like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon made large contributions/donations to certain members of the Republican party to buy their way into contracts in Iraq.
Also, large corporations, many of which have ties to Republican members of Congress and the Bush administration, who have civil contracts in Iraq. Look at Halliburton's stock pre-Iraq and post-Iraq, the chart looks like space ship blasting off.
Who is behind all this making money you ask... Rich Republican controlled corporations and CEO's who already make $20M+ per year and dont need anymore money.

the military industrial complex.
basically the only thing that is still actually made in the usa is weapons - darn good ones at that.
still bush may be in the process of overplaying his hand as he tries to sell highly complex weapons to his old friends and enemies of the usa - the saudi arabians.
don't forget that the saudis are still technically at war with israel - who are real allies...

Defense contractors make the most. Next is any services we contract, like supplying our troops with food. Insurgents are making some money too, in the form of bribes that contractors pay them to leave their work sites alone.

bankers who loan money out of thin air and charge exorbite interest, rothschilds, rockerfellers, fords, vatican (has stock in military weapondry and in the banks) corporations that deal with rebuilding, feeding and caring for the troops including uniforms, vehicles used in transport, tanks, bombs mines guns and ammunition, giving loans for rebuilding from bankers, planes, etc, that are used up as long as the war continues weapons will be used up and needed to be replaced, you know make the resource destroy it so more money is needed to make the weapons, and more profits as you get no bid contracts and stir it all up and repeat..
the profits are so good for these creeps that they literally stir up the pot (create wars using false flags, made up threats, etc) to get countries to go to war. if it wasn't so lucrative they wouldn't do it, that is why war is peace to them, it is their peace because it gives them enormous profit and keeps the masses busy and not focused on them. it is a perfect population control tactic too.
let's not forget the minor wars too, like war on drugs very lucrative for local governments who seize property simply under the idea if you have it you must of gotten by lawless means, like having 400,000 dollars in a safe because you saved all your life and didn't trust banks and have it confiscated until you can prove you earned it. so this drug war is a excuse to reverse the bill of rights you are guilty until proven inncocent. war on poverty is an excuse to take taxes and use for corporate advantage. war on crime is another excuse to invade people's privacy and steal their property also. all these wars are for one reason only, profit.
