How long have you been dating...and does his kids know you? Where was he during this time?

If you have been dating awhile and his kids know you...why weren't you there?

He could have touched base with you during the day. Sorry but Christmas isn't all about kids. Its about the people that matter most in your life. That sucks. I'd be pissed.

It is not ok, take control of your relationship and demand communication. A simple call of "Hi honey, I am alive" shouldn't be too much to ask for. If he does not think this is ok then you have gotten yourself into a bad relationship.
